LOOKING BACK
The past 6 months of enjoying photography and most importantly, enjoying everyone else’s photography has been such a joyous and relaxing endeavor to end the year. And I’m excited at the inspiration and motivation that will take me into 2024. I am in love with how pressure-free and therapeutic my photography is, just me and my camera, trying to see the everyday world around me in a different way. Photography for me in 2023 became a gateway for my creative expression, but also bridge to see and connect with such a interesting and inspiring community that is photography. Overall, I’m just really thankful and blessed that I found this passion of mine again after so many years away.
LOOKING FORWARD-ISH
Okay, enough with the sappy and semantic language, AHAHHAHA! Basically, I’m really excited for 2024 and how I wanna continue my photography journey. As of now, thankfully I am going out and shooting consistently. Less thankfully, I have an enormous backlog of photos I need to organize and share, hehehe. I am posting pretty frequently on Instagram *cough* @jerichos.jpegs on IG *cough* follow if you wanna see my social media JPEGS lol! Anyways, its just here on Substack that I need to further gain my bearings on the overall workflow and process of sharing on here. I was thinking how, having access to more words and sentences can be great for sharing my photography, but sometimes my mind goes blank on how I wanna approach a post or what pictures to share and why so yeah, that.
Just bear with me please because I’m the resident over-thinking over-sharer type person who can get going and never shut up sometimes (which is why Instagram is great, its just post pictures and few sentences caption and BOOM I’m done). I do wanna stay off of social media/ Instagram culture as much as possible so hopefully doing this Substack more can really help with that.
Anyways, here’s my 10 favorite black and white shots to be followed by my 10 favorite color shots of the year. ENJOY!
